Throughout my 20 or so years in business, I have been a graphics artist in the computer games industry, a pub manager for JD Wetherspoons, and a professional photographer. I'm now very fortunate to work at a zoo as part of the amazing team at Paradise Wildlife Park in Hertfordshire. We are members of the three top zoological associations BIAZA (British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquaria), EAZA (European Association of Zoos and Aquaria) and WAZA (World Association of Zoos and Aquaria). I'm also the chairman of the Communications and Development Committee for BIAZA and sit on the BIAZA council.
A very hard worker, I have a can-do attitude to everything. You'll never hear me say 'Sorry, that's not in my job description.' I am adaptable, forward thinking and able to think on my feet.
In my current role as Marketing Manager at Paradise, I am part of the marketing team, ensuring that as many people as possible know about our zoo, on the smallest possible budget. Social media forms a large part of this strategy, and we are building a large following on a variety of platforms with the aim of putting Paradise at the leading edge in this field.
In addition to my work at the zoo, I am also a web designer and wedding photographer working with a select amount of clients each year providing a fantastic service with imagery that stands out from the crowd.
